Our Story
Omura was founded by three designers and technologists — John, Matty, and Mike — with the aim of improving how people use cannabis flower, particularly those looking for a cleaner alternative to smoking.
THE PRODUCT
​Built for whole flower
From the beginning, the focus was on building a system that prioritised precision, consistency, and a better overall experience. The Omura system combines a handheld heat-not-burn device with biodegradable paper Flowersticks — each containing a precision quantity of ground cannabis flower.

Using a proprietary convection heating profile that adjusts throughout the session, Omura releases over 99% of available cannabinoids and terpenes without burning the flower. The result is a cleaner, more consistent experience with none of the waste and degradation that comes with combustion.

Purity reflects our commitment to whole-flower cannabis and preserving its natural compounds. Cannabis flower contains over 100 cannabinoids and hundreds of terpenes that work together in what researchers call the entourage effect — where the combined action of these compounds may produce benefits beyond what any single compound can achieve alone. A 2024 clinical study from Johns Hopkins University provided some of the first direct evidence for this interaction, showing that the terpene limonene significantly modulated the effects of THC.
Omura's convection heating preserves this full spectrum. By avoiding combustion, which destroys many of these delicate compounds, the whole profile of the flower is released intact — cannabinoids, terpenes, and the natural interactions between them.
